Mickey and Minnie Themed Party

Updated: Oct 3, 2022

This was the perfect theme for my three-year-old boy and one-year-old girl. People raved about my theme choice, and it was easy to find both Minnie and Mickey decorations. I stuck with the classic red, black, and yellow Mickey and Minnie rather than pink Minnie.

The food:

  • Watermelon Mickey shapes

  • Hot Diggity Dogs (pigs in a blanket)

  • Mickey Goldfish

  • Dole Whip Smoothies

  • Mickey shaped salami, cheese, pepperoni served with crackers

  • Caesar salad

  • Ordered pizza

  • Juice, sodas, waters, and frozen cocktail pops for adults.

  • Mickey and Minnie ring topped cupcakes

  • Smash cake.

Dole whip smoothies, made with frozen pineapple and coconut milk for dairy-sensitive party guests and a healthier take among all the treats.

Hot Diggity dogs were pigs in a blanket.

Mickey goldfish., Caesar salad, and we ordered pizza.

Watermelon, pepperoni, salami, and cheese Mickeys. Watermelon served on a large black plate and two black smaller circular bowls to make a Mickey.

The Mickey cookie cutter used on slices of watermelon made the fruit on theme!

Also used for cheese slices.

I printed labels for the food with the Disney font maker here.

It was a fun and festive touch!

Our drink barrel had kid beverages on the bottom in the ice and adult beverages on top. Guests could grab their ears and a drink at the same place.

Minnie high chair banner for the birthday girl! The birthday boy was happy to sit down with his friends.

Supplies:

3. Red and yellow table cloths (Walmart)

4. 2 pack Mickey table cloths (Walmart)

5.Mickey centerpieces (Walmart)

9. Mickey confetti (Walmart)

10. Hanging Mickey decorations (Walmart)

11. Red and yellow silverware, cups, and pop-up trashcan (Party City)

We also rented a bounce house, tables and chairs, and purchased an EZ up for this. It all came together in our backyard on a shoestring budget!

The kids enjoyed a bubble machine, outdoor toys, jumping and digging in our dirt area. I had sunscreen and hand sanitizer out on the table for easy access. We skipped the pinata and party favors this year. It was a low-key small friend party with our families spread out. Wholesome and endearingly on-brand for us.

Let me know ideas you've done or plan to do for similar themed parties!

Be well,

Elle.
